Bottoms Up
One of our hotel clients hosted a label competition for their new crafted beer. Almost won the BIG PRIZE, paid airfare and hotel stay, but instead settled for second and third place. Awwwww!! It was totally fun, competitive and creative!

The Artist
"The artist is a receptacle for the emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web."
– Pablo Picasso
Night Hike
Lately, we been doing some excellent hikes at our local park. The path leads us to the top of the hill, for star gazing or scenic city views. Never gets old.

Homegrown
There are at least four things in Highland Park that have made an impact in our community and beyond:
1. Quentin Tarantino's 1992 Reservoir Dogs. Filmed at several locations on Figueroa Blvd. and York Blvd.
2. Singer-songwriter, Jackson Browne. He spent most of his youth here before becoming a world famous rock musician.
3. Fashion 21 opened it's doors in 1984. Now it operates many stores nationwide and internationally. Now known as FOREVER 21.
4. Galco's Old World Grocery is devoted to the art of soda pop. It features more than 500 flavors of soda.
